In road construction, this year, Anhui province will begin to expand and reconstruct Wuhu-Xuancheng Highway and construct Taihu-Qichun Highway.
Anhui has also formulated and implemented a plan to promote expressway access to county towns. The action plan of highway "County Town Access" has been submitted to the Department of Transportation for deliberation and approval, and will soon be reported to the provincial government. In rural road construction, the province this year will construct 3,000 kilometers of rural roads of higher quality. By the end of June, 4,110.53 kilometers of rural roads had been improved and 1,959.31 kilometers completed, accounting for 88.46% and 43.64% of the annual planned tasks, respectively.
In port construction, this year, Anhui province will upgrade the functions of Wuhu-Ma'anshan and Anqing river-sea combined transportation hubs. It will continue to promote the construction of key wharves at Maanshan and Anqing river-sea combined transportation hubs in Wuhu.
In airport construction, Anhui province is speeding up the construction of a world-class airport group. In 2021, Anhui Province has started the construction of Sixian and Feidong Bailong General Airports. The main construction of Dangshan and Lujiang state network general airports, which started last year, have been completed. The projects of a large number of general airports such as Jingde, Yuexi, Mingguang, Tianchang, Guzhen, and Taihu are also accelerating the pace of preliminary work.
All these projects are expected to boost the sales of construction machinery in the domestic market.
